Who am I?

I am Ivar Abrahamsen, Ivar Eystein to family, Ivar to friends, Fjords to some friends, Flurdy to some others.

I am in my thirties, I tend to say I am from Asker, but live in Oslo, both in Norway.
However I did spend 14 years in England, mostly Manchester. Moved around a lot, so I have also lived and worked in Sweden and Germany.

I live with the gorgeous Chloe, whom I met at university many moons ago.

I am a Computer Engineering graduate from the University of Manchester, I work for Tieto as a Senior Consultant, and over the past 10 years I have mainly worked as a Software Engineer using Java for middleware integrating systems and web applications. Mostly with banks and in telecoms.

My main interests are sports and technology. My flurdy.com website is more about the nerdy technology side of me. Basically I am into all sorts of technology, science, computers, gadgets, etc. I spend far too much time with a laptop frying my groin than I should do.

A bit of a sports nut, Ill watch any sports, but mainly football. Been to 100+ matches at Old Trafford and now try to watch all Viking's away matches nearby. I also play far too many different types of sports. Currently each week I play football and floorball/innebandy. Wintertime (being in Oslo) add cross country and downhill skiing. In the summer a lot of mountain bike cycling. Add golf, squash, tennis, roller blading, basketball, ice-hockey, swimming, kayaking etc whenever the oppertunity arrises. (Obviously I don't have the time to do all of this, but some "ideal" weeks it does happend)

My personality is a bit laid back and quite blunt. :)
(I think) I get on with pretty much anyone (even the very arty-farty if they can handle non-pc jokes...).
Workwise, though never stressed, I'd like to think I am consciencous, helpful and very resourceful.
